Goodbye OrganiWipes

Why we’re saying goodbye to OrganiWipes – and how you can keep your cup or disc clean in every situation waste-free

At AllMatters we’ve always believed that small changes add up to big impact. Since our start in 2012 (as OrganiCup) we’ve been on a mission to make reusable period-care the obvious choice — for your body, your budget, and the planet.

Today, we’re taking another step: we’ve made the decision to discontinue the single-use wipes (OrganiWipes) that has served as a “on-the-go backup” for cleaning your cup or disc.

Why we’re doing this

Consistency with our mission

Our core purpose is to reduce single-use waste, build long-lasting alternatives and shift routines toward reusables.  While the wipes were designed as a helpful out-of-water solution, they still rely on single-use materials (individually wrapped wipes, disposable packaging) which runs counter to our long-term goal of circular, low-waste period care.

Material footprint

The wipes are made of bio-cotton, yet their individual foil packaging and disposable nature mean they add to waste streams. On our product page we state: “The individual wrapping of each wipe is not biodegradable — this is due to a thin layer of aluminum that ensures the disinfecting fluid remains stable.”  By retiring the item we reduce that residual waste.

Alternative ways to sanitise your cup or disc when you’re on the go

Because we know life doesn’t always give you a perfect bathroom sink and steriliser, here are less wasteful methods you can use when you’re travelling, at work, camping, or between periods.

Portable rinse + towel method

Carry a small spray bottle or a collapsible bottle with pre-boiled or filtered water. After removal, rinse your cup or disc with that water to remove visible blood. Pat it dry with a clean, lint-free cloth or a reusable microfibre cloth stored in a plastic bag (to keep it clean). Re-insert. Once you’re home, give it a full wash with mild, unscented soap and boil/sterilise if required.

Between-period storage refresh

After your period ends, you’ll want a deeper clean: wash with mild soap, boil (or UV-sterilise) the cup/disc, dry thoroughly and store in a breathable bag.  If you worry about hygiene while away, consider carrying a small container with a pre-measured tablet or droplet of a body-safe disinfectant solution (as used for baby bottles or travel gear) – always check that it’s compatible with medical-grade silicone (for cups/discs) and fully rinse afterwards.

Emergency scenario: no water at all

If you’re truly in a scenario with zero access to clean water, the best approach is to limit reinsertion of your cup/disc until you reach a facility with water. Use a clean pad or period underwear in the meantime. If you must, wipe with a clean cloth you’ve carried, ensure your hands are cleaned (sanitiser works for hands; though not ideal for the cup), then re-insert. When you’re next at access to water, do a full clean right away. This is a last‐resort method only.

Final thoughts

We are extremely grateful to everyone who has purchased OrganiWipes and used them responsibly as a backup when needed. This product helped bridge a gap. But our vision is always moving forward: towards a world where period-care is reusable, long-lasting, low-waste and rooted in simple, reliable routines.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. If you have any questions about how to adapt your cleaning routine, reach out – we’re here for you.

OrganiWipes will be available as long as stock lasts.
